About Lucy

Lucy Ann Franklin
I have been studying Ortho-Bionomy™ since 1994 and I have been a practitioner for 13 years. What impresses me the most about Ortho-Bionomy™ is that it honors the wisdom of our bodies. I never liked the idea that you have to experience painful massage in order to get rid of pain. When I experienced how Ortho-Bionomy™ works with the body and how I felt more connected to myself I realized that real healing comes from paying attention to ourselves mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Ortho-Bionomy is a healing conversation. I only paid attention to my body when it hurt or I felt bad. Ortho-Bionomy™ teaches you to have a new relationship with yourself.
I combated my own struggle with depression without the help of drugs. I believe that Ortho-Bionomy™ helps us reconnect to our own wisdom and pay attention to ourselves in a very gentle way. One of the roots of my depression was being externally focused. When I took time to notice my thoughts, my feelings, and didn't judge myself for them, I would feel better. I got my Masters in Counseling from The Alfred Adler Institute in 1994 and there is an emphasis on re-education and recognizing our thoughts and beliefs and changing them. Ortho-Bionomy™ does this and more by including the body. The body holds the patterns of disappointment, fear, anger, sadness and joy. Ortho-Bionomy™ has helped me in so many ways that I could talk for hours but I will say that there is only one answer for your body and that is your answer.
